Free FLV Converter does much more than convert video formats into more versatile, widely accepted formats. The converter can convert multiple video and audio formats. The converter also has advanced search capabilities, allowing you to search for the videos you want without the need for opening up a web browser. Overall, the program does an excellent job of locating and finding the videos and converting the videos you have into other formats. One drawback to the converter is that it does not provide a clean user interface. However, you can make sure you are converting to the correct format by checking the file properties for converting the video file.

When you launch the program, you will notice that there are several tabs at the top of the screen. The "Search Video" tab allows you to search popular sites such as YouTube and DailyMotion to find the video you are seeking. The "Tube Downloader" tab shows a list of all current downloads and provides options for work. You can also cancel any download in progress, restart, or remove any failed videos. It will keep your library organized. You can also right-click any video and select the "Rename" option to quickly change the name. When it comes to actually converting files to and from FLV format, there are two tabs that you can use. The "Conversion From FLV" tab and the "Conversion to FLV" tab provide simple options for you to easily convert virtually any video format to or from the FLV format.

One drawback to the program, which may be an issue for some users, is the built-in ability to search adult websites. The program contains options so that you can set the websites that the program searches. Some of the more common options include YouTube, Google Videos, Metacafe and Crackle. The adult tab allows you to save your references for the types of content and websites that the application can search. If you do not want to search any of the websites, you can configure those options.

The actual conversion side of the software provides a simplified and streamlined window showing the FLV format parameters and the conversion information. Once you are ready to convert video, simply click the "Convert" button to begin the process of converting your video. Your video conversion progress bar appears, showing you how much time is left and the percentage of completion. Finally, the program provides support for several different languages. The default language is English, but you can also select Arabic, Chinese, German and several other languages. Overall, this is an excellent program with superb features.
